Swimming pool copingIMG_2200[1]IMG_2204[1]IMG_2202[1]

As you can see, the sealer’s completely failed around this pool. The moment the lacquer dried and the home occupants started to swim and make the water from the pool, get on the sealer. This over time, is what created lacquer gone bad. The mexican tiles are flakey, hazey, cloudy, blistered, peeling and turning white.

All the Mexican Tile have been stripped, cleaned, and are ready for the sealing process. As usual we use the best sealers in our arsenal. Tested by me time and time again, the sealer has proved to be the best,  which makes me confident when i’m telling my clients they are the best.

I have twenty three years in the industry with hands on experience, using every sealer put out to see if they’re the real deal or not. But what I find time and time again, is that they suck and they do not do what they say they do. I think the people that make this stuff don’t actually use it in real world situations.

You Can’t Imitate Mother Nature

I think companies try to imitate the elements.
In my opinion this offers a false unrealistic test on there sealers. There are too many variables that can play a factor such as people in there homes trying weirdthing and harsh chemicals to clean there floors, excess foot traffic, excess water, some sealers too soft, some to hard and crackle with movement, some are too oily and leave a film, and the home owner or house cleaner goes too strong with a cleaner that was recommended by the idiot at the store, who kinda knows what he’s talking about,

but,

not really.. They just sell the stuff. If they only knew that most of the sealers their sealing with are crap, either old school technology like Linseed Oil and turpentine covered with shalack, or even newer products like bio-degreadable. Which I’m all for saving the planet but, being honest, that crap is completely useless in my professional cleaning opinion. Its just not for tile and grout, people, you’re spending millions of dollars a year on all this crap…
